The title ‘Ghent University alumnus of the year’ has been awarded annually by the UGent community since 2022. Alumni, staff members and students nominate candidates. With this award, we honour an alumnus who holds a special position, has built a distinguished career and/or has made an exceptional contribution to their professional field.
